About the Team
Weed Man was started in 2008 by husband-and-wife team Roger and Irene Searle. Business grew rapidly and their son, David, with a background in greenkeeping, was invited to help. Mainly fuelled by recommendations and word of mouth, business has grown year on year and rebranded to EcoLawns in 2024. We now employ a small team of fully qualified professionals who have been trained to do things the EcoLawns way. Whether it’s moss or weed control, turfing or lawn repair, we have lawn care services for all clients in Basingstoke, Camberley, Wokingham, Bracknell, Farnborough, Fleet and the surrounding Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire areas. We even offer an annual lawn care programme.

Irene has a background rooted in customer service and is committed to ensuring our customers always come first – this dedication to excellence and looking after our customers has become a cornerstone of what we do.
David likes to keep up to date with the technical part of the business, ensuring our lawn care company uses modern practices and the latest hardware so our work is always completed to the highest possible standard.
Roger is the real powerhouse of the business, his knowledge extends well beyond simple “lawn care”, and always works out the best course of action for every customer, no matter the situation. It is his business acumen that has put EcoLawns on the map. Aided by a fantastic team of technicians who are always keen to learn, he has been a major contributor to the ever-growing popularity of EcoLawns - and has no plans to stop anytime soon!
